HELLO,
i am Bryan Carvalho. thank you for visiting my online portfolio. it's a small collection of everything i've been doing, from theatre and singing to modelling.
over the past year i’ve been developing my craft and finding new areas of interest. apart from acting and singing, i have also been modelling for conceptual photoshoots that draw attention to the feminity of the "male" body, especially within the lgbtq+ community as well as other concepts.
during lockdown, i’ve been able to keep performing and devising shows specifically for online audiences in addition to attending an acting course focused on creating online content. besides that, i’m proud to say that i got to devise two performances that were then toured internationally as well as staged at the EdFringe and Camden fringe.

i believe performing is all about being care-free and vulnerable. by reaching that state, the performer accesses a part of themselves that is both made out of truth and technique, which creates the perfect balance to deliver a performance that is both believable and theatrical.
i am conscious that the presence of my body and voice on stage and on screen is already political. i want and will continue to elevate my cultural background, mother tongue and gender/sexual orientation with the aim of giving a voice to the minority groups i'm a part of.
